2022.01.17 03:13 yokesh351 "Bitcoin and ethereum will continue to be the king and prince of the market in 2022"

Martínez-Pardo warns about the "behavior of bitcoin as a traditional value and not as a refuge"
t has not been a good start to the year for cryptocurrencies. In fact, it has been the worst for bitcoin in its history, with falls that have led the queen of digital assets to lose $40,000 in the session on January 10 when, according to experts, it found a bottom in its recent correction.
As if it were an omen for the rest of the year, the price action has caused many analysts to abandon the bet on a specific time frame for the queen of digital currencies to reach the $100,000 target. Even with everything, it is undeniable that the positive groundswell for these assets persists and that there are numerous vectors of growth that will continue to drive the market. We talked about it with Ramiro Martínez-Pardo, CEO and co-founder of HeyTrade .
Like other colleagues, he does not dare to give price projections for bitcoin and other 'cryptos' in the short term because "it is very difficult and we would always be behind reality." "The only thing I dare to say is that between $20,000 and $100,000 any prediction we make may be justified and well founded."
However, he draws an important lesson from 2021, a year in which "many interesting projects have emerged." And this is that "as much as there is talk that both bitcoin and ethereum development could be unseated, there is little doubt that they are here to stay and will continue to be king and prince ."
"We can be sure that in 2022 they will be the great dominators of the market , so for those who want to have part of their portfolios in these assets, they are projects to follow", he affirms emphatically. For the rest, Martínez-Pardo advises "diversification, be prudent, put on the long lights and assume that large losses can occur."
As for the fundamentals, it focuses on cryptocurrency mining and draws the conclusion that the blackout in Kazakhstan, the world's second-largest mining center, at the beginning of the year "demonstrates the resilience of the network and the readiness of mining companies." this sector to adapt and have 'plan B' for these setbacks."
After, in addition, what happened last year with mining in China, he observes a great resistance in the development of cryptocurrency sector. "After worrying news, a few weeks later they recover again" in a show of the flexibility of the network that the expert highlights as a remarkable fact, "as well as the ability of the actors who work in it to adapt and move their operations from one jurisdiction to another and from one place to another.
In this sense, Martínez-Pardo highlights that "any element that increases the resistance of the block chain will play in favor of the cryptoactive".
The co-founder of the investment platform calls to be attentive to the debate on the role of bitcoin as a hedge against inflation, which has been questioned. “Many times it behaves in reverse, like a stock with a very high beta , in which good news improves the outlook for cryptocurrencies development and negative news, in reverse, lowers the price, when what you would be looking for, originally, is an asset not correlated with the rest of the market", he reflects.
He invites you to observe this behavior to see if they are really becoming a value with a very high beta instead of being that alternative asset that is sought after.
He also believes that another of the big issues is that of the regulatory efforts of the authorities, especially the steps taken by the US. "When we have a clearer regulatory framework in this country, surely many institutional investors will decide whether to take additional steps ," he argues. "It is the reference and everything should be welcome," he emphasizes, since "at least for institutional investors, the fact that there is clarity and that these steps are adopted will help greater adoption."
He does not rule out some kind of negative reaction if the new rules are very restrictive, but in general terms he emphasizes that regulation is a path that will take years, but will bring great benefits to this asset class in the long term.
Another aspect that has revolutionized the market in 2021 has been the adoption of bitcoin as legal tender in El Salvador . In this regard, Martínez-Pardo believes that "if the rally is prolonged and we continue to experience this boom period in the crypto market, we will undoubtedly see more initiatives in this regard by other countries."
"As we see more turbulence in the markets or in countries where inflation ends up being persistent or may even skyrocket, it will be attractive to follow the example of the Central American country ," he continues, "either by adopting the currency or promoting different initiatives that seek to attract foreign investment".
As for the 'crypto fever' of Wall Street, explains the co-founder of HeyTrade that "one has to put oneself in the boots of a director of a company listed in the US, whose duty to shareholders is to maximize the price of that action ". "If adopting cryptocurrencies and having part of the cash in these assets is going to be well received by shareholders and implies that the share is going to rise, they are practically obliged to look at the sector and deploy initiatives," he says.
Therefore, he believes that as long as the rally continues, the interest and momentum of the corporate world of Wall Street will remain alive.
And he leaves, as a climax, a final reflection that invites us to be very attentive: "If we had had this conversation at the beginning of 2021, we probably would not have hit even one of the news of the year in cryptocurrencies." Therefore, we must be prepared for everything that may happen.

2022.01.17 03:13 StarshineTheCat Does dreaming ever change your perspective of the world?

So, do you ever go to sleep, with your normal perspective of the world as it's always been, then you have a dream, and wake up, and then are just like "woah, that dream made my perspective of the world change completely" and you don't like it, but it stays that way for the entire day until you sleep again? This happens to me a lot, and the only time it doesn't change is if I like the new perspective the dream has given me, I think that accepting it as truth makes it stay.

I want to learn this style of playing so I'll transcribe some tracks. Obvious choices would be Joe Pass' albums but I'm looking for something a little bit easier to start with, maybe a little less walking bass and bebop runs hahaha. Any suggestions?

2022.01.17 03:13 CoffeeParty2389 Why didn't anything else sprout?

Had a chain of thought today about how seeds can germinate through animal droppings, including humans. This made me think about the Martian. If Watney was using so much of the crews poo, how didn't anything in it germinate? Did all their food just not have any traces of seeds? Just think it would've been interesting to see how he had to manage the dynamics between more thab one species of crop

2022.01.17 03:13 CJPsalm139 You ever have neighbors be absolute jerks?

I was heading out to the car to go to a friend's house earlier today, and see my neighbor doing something with his bug shield or something for the porch, right? I ask "What're you doin'?" in a friendly way and he replies with "what do you care?" I reply with "just saw you working on this, just wondering what's up" and he basically tells me to F off. He says "Just move on, man." I was just trying to be polite and greet my neighbor in a "hey neighbor, whatcha up to?" Kinda way, and he essentially tells me to screw off. Why are people so mean for no reason? Like both he and his girlfriend(in the same house) have been extraordinarily rude to me for seemingly no reason. I'm just a little tired of it.
